Tasneem Zehra Husain is a string theorist and the first Pakistani woman to obtain a PhD in this field. She is very active in advocating education in Pakistan: she helped setting up a Science and Engineering School in her home town Lahore, conducts educational workshops for science teachers, and also contributed to anthologies of science writing for adults and kids.

For the second time, CERN's Diversity Office facilitated a work group on the topic of gender inclusive teaching in the framework of the CERN High School Teacher Programme.

The brochure compiles comprehensive information on support structures to enhance working life at CERN, including balancing work and home life, support for families and measures to ensure an inclusive and respectful work environment. The updated brochure contains all new diversity related measures of the 2015 5-yearly review and is aimed at CERN staff members. There is an overlap with measures that are available to other CERN members of the personnel.

After two years, six successful editions and plenty of positive feedback, we are happy to announce the 7th edition of our Diversity in Action workshop.

On Tuesday, the Diversity Office together with the CERN PACMAN project welcomed three girls from the International School in Geneva to support them in their school project on female stereotypes in the workforce. Their goal was to find out how to battle stereotypes regarding traditionally male and female professions at their school by interviewing Kristin Kaltenhäuser, from the CERN Diversity Office, Tommaso Portaluri and Silvia Zorzetti from the PACMAN project.
