January 17: "Develop your network"
Studies show that a majority of jobs and opportunities are found outside of traditional channels. Today, more than ever, becoming an expert networker has become a necessity in this globalized world. Join us for this interactive workshop which will give you tips and tricks about presenting yourself appropriately in any circumstances, feeling at ease in any crowd, developing a catchy LinkedIn profile, and effectively becoming truly visible for everyone which might be in need of your special competences and talents. Whatever your personality and preferred ways of networking today, you will find something for you here. Last but not least major local networks not to be missed will be presented in order for you to join whichever one will suit your needs best.

June 12: "Understanding your Personality Type"
How is your personal style impacting interactions with others? Self-awareness can help you find a job perfectly suiting you as well as become a better team player and leader. This session will make you aware of different types of existing models of personality and analyse why and how to use them efficiently.
May 18: The Swiss Business culture
What makes the Swiss tick and how do they function in the workplace? Find out all you need to know about the impact of culture at work, learn valuable dos and don’ts and decipher those values impacting Swiss business behaviour. In previous sessions, the group has openly shared their experience and concerns and pro-actively found solutions. They also had lots of fun in the process! Join us and accelerate your integration.
November 6: Developing a Portable Identity
The most profound change you will experience when relocating as a career partner is to your sense of personal identity. Career partners on an international assignment are confronted to issues and dilemmas. This transformation has a great impact ton their personal growth and can also make them better employees in the long run. Confronted with a new and uncertain situation, they also need to learn how to deal with potential loss of “market value” as an employee. This session will focus on these changes and how to address them best.
October 2: The Swiss Business Culture
What makes the Swiss tick and how do they function in the workplace? Find out all you need to know about the impact of culture at work, learn valuable dos and dont’s and decipher those values that impact Swiss business behaviour. What makes you unique? What are your strengths? How do you describe yourself? If your have ever been asked these questions – while networking or socializing, during an interview, or when making a pitch to a prospective client – you will probably agree that responding can be challenging! Undertaking a personal branding journey can help. Discovering your personal brand means gaining valuable insights into what makes you genuinely “you”. (If you are wondering, yes, we all have a personal brand!). From here, the natural step is developing and deploying your international, authentic brand communication. Results? Depending on what’s important to you, you can use your personal brand to grow your career, business, or network, or simply to enhance your self-awareness and confidence.
March 13: Developing your LinkedIn Profile
Learn how to get your profile just right to support your job search. Today most Talent Managers leverage LinkedIn to identify potential candidates. Yet many job seekers either don’t have a profile or have a lacunary profile that does not support their search. In fact in many cases, an out of date or incomplete profile has exactly the reverse effect! How do you stand out from the crowd? What can you do to make sure your profile really speaks to your advantage? This workshop will provide some key answers.
February 20: Developing your network skills - Dual Career Workshops
Designed for dual career partners and new arrivals to the Lake Geneva Region, this workshop will focus on skills building, through fun and interactive exercises, and provide useful tips to help you develop your personal & professional network, including information on social networks.

Using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is key to knowing yourself better and understanding how your personal style impacts interactions with others. Self-awareness of your style can help you work better in teams, be a better leader and, if you are reconsidering your career path, it can help you to find a job that suits you by doing what you naturally enjoy most.
November 14: Managing Relocation & Culture Shock
So you’re unpacked and wondering what to do next? This interactive workshop is designed to help you recognize and cope with the dips in the relocation adaptation curve. Know what to expect and focus on taking remedial steps to ease your integration.

March 7: Internet watch tools for your job search
How do you search for relevant information on the internet when you are looking for a job? In this session, learn how to set up internet searching tools to look for jobs and prepare yourself for an interview. You will learn how to use Google operators more efficiently, be informed about alternative search engines and get an insight in the job platform aggregators. You will also learn how to set up internet alerts to be informed about the subjects you care about.

All participants will be able to practice and improve their elevator pitch. The focus will be on 1. Approaches to your network and 2. Recruiters as this requires different approaches and strategies.

Expat-experts give practical advice, offer useful tools & share ‘moving’ stories.
October 26: Managing Relocation & Culture Shock
An interactive workshop designed to help newly arrived expat partners recognize and cope with the dips in the relocation adaptation curve.
November 26: Share the Funny Things that have happened to you on the way to integration in CH this year
This will be a very interactive session as we ask you to come prepared to share your stories with the group. We have a few of our own that we will be happy to share to get you started.
